Self written biographies–I always struggle with them. My goal is to not come across too pretentious,  but not too lack luster either. That should give some insight personality wise already. I’m a 21 year old Public Relations and Journalism student (senior) in Utica area. Originally being from the city, I’ve only recently grown accustom to the local deer that perch outside my window.  I’ll be covering the topic of education and all it’s joys.

Tionna DeFreitas

My name is Tionna DeFreitas, I am a junior at Utica College studying broadcast journalism, in hopes of becoming an entertainment correspondent in the future. I was born and raised In Utica, New York located in the heart of central New York. I have a treasured love with my hometown and take pride in the city of Utica. There’s a lot of nooks and crannies to this city that not everyone notices. My dreams in becoming an entertainment correspondent started back my junior year of high school, I was good at writing, but did not like writing, so I said why not take it a bit further and involve writing with things I enjoy the most. Anything related to fashion, makeup or celebrity news are right up my alley. My dream job would have to be a correspondent on E! News. I enjoy writing, but enjoy talking just as much and what better way to pursue a career involving those two things other than working for E! in my spare time I enjoy cooking, crafting shopping, watching Grey’s Anatomy and hanging with my pups.

Lia Tobin

My name’s Lia Tobin. I’m a senior at Utica College, studying journalism with a concentration in broadcast. This is my second year being the copy editor for my school’s newspaper The Tangerine. I am from Fairport, New York, which is a couple hours away from my college. After graduating from Utica College, I’d love to land a job as a TV reporter or as a fashion editor for a high-end magazine such as Marie Claire, Elle, or Vogue. I’d be happy with either job. I’ll be covering this site’s Events page.

Nick Woodman

My name is Nick Woodman. I am 21 years old and was born right here in Utica, New York. I went to Thomas R. Proctor High School. I am a senior at Utica College majoring in Public Relations with a concentration in sports with a minor in journalism. I’m one of the four captains on the football team. When I’m not doing anything related to football I like to hangout with my friends and play video games. I will be covering the events section on the Utica Entertainment website.
