Today marks the first Saturday that the Utica College Pioneers will not be playing a football game for the 2015 season.
Though the Pioneers had an up and down, there are many things that they can leave being proud with.
Starting the season off strong, many of the Pioneers fell into the top 10 stat charts for the whole nation.
Tommy Woodburn ended the season topping all of Division III in field goals, racking up 2.20 field goals per game.
The Pioneers also hit hard, they ended up with a total of 34 sacks, which is now a new school record.
Ryan Burnette lead the team in rushing with 342 yards. Quarterback Teddy VanGalen led the passing game with 2662 yards. Finally, Greg Palmer led the receivers with 883 yards on the season.
No, we don’t have Pioneer football today, but we as fans, can appreciate all the hard work that the 2015 team put in this season. On be half of all of us fans, thank you 2015 Pioneers for a great season.
