A Message For The Seniors

untitled

You know the age old saying, “all good things must come to an end,”

But, what they didn’t tell you is that you’d make lifelong friends.

Friends so close they feel like family,

A love deeper than what eyes can see.

A family that picked you up when you were down,

Teammates who were there for you, when no one else was around.

Playing for something more than yourself, playing for the good of one team.

With all members being synchronized and focused, wanting only one dream.

The dream may end in a win or loss, but the memories remain forever,

And you will always have a family on campus, at home or wherever.

The end of the road for the seniors, a feeling that can’t be spoken.

But never forget the bond you have with this family, a bond that can never be broken.

Long live the Pioneers.

Bennu: The Hidden Gem

Bennu: The Hidden Gem

When I first discovered the bar and grill and modernized restaurant I was blown away with its overall appearance from food to customer service, to interior design. Bennu offers a wide menu including appetizers, wraps, salads, soups, burgers, paninis and burritos. All food is prepared fresh and is served and ready within minutes. With every sandwich, wrap or panini you have the choice of homemade chips which are a crispy seasoned potato chip, or tri-colored tortilla chips and salsa which is also freshly homemade. Located off of Oriskany Boulevard in Whitesboro, I call this restaurant a hidden gem because you wouldn’t know it was there unless you were looking for it. Surrounded by other restaurants and stores its hard to spot the bar and grill from a far. Stop n during the week for daily specials and drink specials. Check out the menu.

De-stress Fest

Students who are in need to de-stress do not have to despair for too much longer. This year’s De-stress Fest is next week here at Utica College.

We know everyone’s beginning to feel overwhelmed if you aren’t already with finals week coming up.

The De-stress Fest will have everything from stress balls to even hitting a pinata. There will also be chair massages, tips on handling anxiety, calming teas, snacks, essential oil therapy, and much more.

Be sure to stop by the lounge in the Strebel Student Center on Wednesday, Dec. 9 from noon to 4 p.m.
