Utica College will be hosting another one of its popular Banned Books Read in next wednesday (September 30th 2015) within the Strebel lounge.
Why? Because it will be a week of banned books that will be resurfaced for the public to consume!
Goers will be able to read aloud their favorite passages from a banned book, sharing the forbidden love.
It’ll be free, so head on out!
Utica College had its first emergency medical services meeting today and it not only was it a place you could learn to use the heimlich maneuver, but it also gave some insight to high intensity medical treatment.
The organization’s description as quoted by it:
It is anticipated that UCEMS will provide efficient and professional emergency medical care to the students, faculty, staff, and visitors of Utica College
If you’re interested in joining or would like more information, head to:
Self written biographies–I always struggle with them. My goal is to not come across too pretentious, but not too lack luster either. That should give some insight personality wise already. I’m a 21 year old Public Relations and Journalism student (senior) in Utica area. Originally being from the city, I’ve only recently grown accustom to the local deer that perch outside my window. I’ll be covering the topic of education and all it’s joys.
There are so many resources that Utica College offers if a student is struggling, one of which is individual peer tutoring.
That leaves the question: “Why in the world don’t you get one?”
They are FREE. The tutors are FREE. If you need one (or just want one), then get one!
Often times if a professor sees you struggling they will recommend one. Or they can do you one better and send an academic alert and have an A.C.E. adviser demand you get one.
You want a good grade. We all do. Take the help it takes to get one.
On the flip side, you could actually be a tutor for a subject you’ve taken a class on and received a good grade. It’s a pretty good way to make some cash.
SEX ED BOOTCAMP is coming to the Utica College campus once again. One of UC’s most popular (and maybe even a little bit taboo) events is making it’s return to teach us all about our privates.
Dr. Joni Frater & Esther Lastique headline their presentation with the important question:
“Where did you learn about sex?”
Because that is entirely important when you think about it! Where did you learn about sex? Was it from your modest 90 year-old grandma? Or was it from your tell it like it is Aunt Felecia?
These two ladies will tell you all that you need to know about sex.
How to keep yourself and your partner safe
The information you need to make good decisions
What it takes to be a great lover
And more!
So, strap on camouflage print pants and tie up those big black boots. Sex Ed Boot Camp is coming to you!
Sex Ed Boot Camp will take place Thursday, September 17th at 7:00 p.m. within the Strebel auditorium.
