Syracuse Stage Presents: Steve Martin’s “The Underpants”

Syracuse Stage tickets are currently available for purchase in the Arts & Sciences office (Gordon 286) for $15 each at Utica College; A program that consistently offers students (and others) the opportunity to get tickets for Broadway plays at a great price.

This sale offers viewings for comedian Steve Martin from ‘The Underpants,’ as directed by Bill Fennelly.

The following is a trailer for the show. A little sneak peek, so you know what you’re getting:

“A guffaw inducing comedy from the wild and crazy mind of the incomparable Steve Martin. Dusseldorf, 1910. A very public wardrobe malfunction (a young woman’s underpants fall down at a parade—for the King!) becomes the talk of the town in this ribald update of an uproarious German farce. (Yes, there is such a thing.) Chock-full of sexual innuendo, verbal jousting, and non-stop laughter, The Underpants skewers the absurdity of instant fame. Das ist funny! Bill Fennelly (Hairspray, A Midsummer Night’s Dream) directs.”

“Hilarious and bawdy.” – The Village Voice

“Valiantly eccentric.” – The New York Times

If you’ve never seen a Broadway kind of performance, consider this one. Reviews for the show are raving.

Tickets are for the performance on Saturday, October 24 at 3:00 p.m.

Transportation by bus will be available free of charge to students. The buses will depart from Strebel Circle by 1:20 p.m. While they may give you an extra five minutes or so, you’ll want to be there on time. You don’t want to miss it.
